As part of our fundraising for 2010 we will be at the Cockburn Central Bunnings on Saturday the 5th of December serving our famous sausage sizzle. So come down and support us buy buying a sausage sizzle and we may even give you (or your kids) some free goodies!!
Goldfields Challenge
The recent Goldfields Challenge challenge held at Boorabin Rock located between Southern Cross and Coolgardie proved to be a challenge for the team we sent, but happily Cockburn SES come in at a very respectable 4th for the chellenge -Well Done Guys. The Goldfiedls Challenge is a yearly event that almost all Metro SES units attend for a weekend of events designed to test our teams readiness for events we may be faced with in real emergency situations. March Storms
The March storm kept all Metro SES units very busy including Cockburn with a total of 36 callouts and a total of 72 hours in the field repairing storm damaged properties - Thanks to all of those volunteers that gave up their warm bed to help those in need.
